April 13th Whitetail Deer Photos

It had been two weeks since we had visited our cameras and the foul weather had brought back winter with a blast of snow, more rain and cold temperatures. The quick green-up that we saw the last time didn't continue and some of our fruit trees seem to have taken the brunt of the cold temperatures. We'd like to see spring come back.

We haven't seen any trophy bucks yet but we think we have one buck with close to an inch on his antlers so far. Maybe this is the start of something big.

It's still a little hard to pick interesting pictures but we think we have a few for you to take a look at this time. We also got another bobcat picture so make sure you check out that page as well.

These pictures were taken with our EagleEye, Trail Watcher 2040, Trail Watcher 2060 and Camtrakker Digital Ranger.

Mature Deer

This buck struck us as an older buck. We could be wrong and this may be wishful thinking but that's all we have at this time of the year.

Deer looking up at feeder

This deer is looking up at the feeder as though it is waiting for it to spin. The next picture is just over two minutes later and there is corn on the ground. I guess he knew what time it was.

Deer in an April snow storm

A snowstorm on April 7th and it is supposed to be spring.

Fighting deer at a feeder

It looks like we had a little scuffle at the feeder that morning.

Turkey gobbler

Since turkey season is close here is our gobbler of the week.

Whitetail Buck

Here is the buck with the largest antlers to date. At least they've made it above the fur-line. We're well on our way.
