April 14th Whitetail Deer Photographs

This album of Whitetail Deer Photographs contains digital scouting camera pictures taken the weeks before April 14, 2006.

In this latest group of pictures we recieved a few showing at least one buck whose antlers are a little over one inch long. He's no trophy yet but it's good to see that they have started growing. We also have pictures of a buck that looked like he hadn't started growing his just yet. I think this buck may have been the seven point that we had been watching.

When we get our pictures at our next visit I think we'll start to see more antler growth in our bucks.

Unfortunately we haven't yet recieved any more pictures of bobcats or our first digital picture of a coyote. As we get closer to summer we are going to put the scouting cameras at our food plots to see what is happening in them, so maybe we'll see a bobcat or coyote in one of the food plots.

These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam and a Cuddeback Trail Camera, Leaf River IR, and EagleEye Trail Camera.

Funny Deer

Here is another funny deer picture. This is the second time we have gotten a picture of a deer sniffing one of our scouting cameras.

Whitetail Deer

There isn't anything real special about this picture other than I thought this deer looked nice and healthy. It is a contrast to some of the other deer we see at this time of the year. Many deer have a real scruffy appearance in the early spring.

Four Turkey Gobblers

I think there are a total of five turkey gobblers fanned out in this picture. Two on the left and three on the right.

Buck Growing Antlers

I blew this picture up so you can see that this bucks new antlers are just starting to bust through.

Whitetail Buck

Here is another buck. It doesn't look like his antlers have grown much yet.

Whitetail Buck

I think this may be the buck that was a seven point but it's hard to tell for sure. It is fun to guess and we'll see more characteristics as they continue to grow.
