Black Bear Pictures

After taking trail camera pictures since 1996 and thousands of digital trail camera pictures for the last three years we got our first black bear picture on July 16th. We again got a few more pictures over the next couple of weeks.

We knew something was wrong when we saw that the horizontal bars on our feeders were bent. It was only a couple of weeks until we got the first picture.

We don't know how long this black bear will stick around but we'll keep posting the pictures when we get them.

Big Black Bear

We think that this bear captured by our trail cameras in December 2007 is bigger than the bear in the previous pictures we have.

Another picture of the black bear at our feeder.

Feeding black bear

Here is the rump of our December visiting black bear eating at one of our protein troughs.

Black Bear Nov 7

Here is the black bear again, about two hours after the next picture both taken on November 1st.

November Black Bear

The black bear showed up again for a visit on November 1st.

Black Bear at the oldhouse feeder

Here the black bear is at the other feeder on September 17th just before 3:00 PM. This is the first time we've captured a picture of him at this feeder.

Black Bear

Here the black bear is again back at the same feeder on September 17th at about 5:00 PM.

Standing black bear

I arrived to check this camera less than an hour after this picture was taken. I doubt the bear was very far away when I went by on the ATV.

Feeder bear

This is the latest bear picture. I'd like to get a good picture from the front but we'll take what we can get.

Climbing black bear

It looks like he's getting ready to climb up on the feeder and it looks like he has his mouth open.

balancing black bear

This was taken the same night as the picture above as the bear was trying to figure out our feeder.

Black bear

This is our first black bear picture taken on July 16th.
