December 18 Whitetail Pictures

The eighteenth was the last day of muzzleloader season and other than bow season that continues through the rest of the year the pressure on bucks is now over for the most part. Past years have shown us that bucks that have made it to this time of the year have survived the season. After not seeing many bucks during rifle season they're now showing up at our cameras again.

One thing we are excited about is the quality of bucks that we're still seeing. We have two nice nine point bucks and an eight point that should be real nice bucks next year. One of the nine point bucks may have been in trouble if we had gotten a look at it this year, but he should be even bigger next year.

For now we're pretty much just monitoring feeders. The scrapes and apple trees aren't attracting deer like now and the mineral licks are frozen right now.

We'll be looking for shed antlers now, needless to say there are a few we'd like to pick up.

We didn't get any fox, coyote or bear pictures this week, but we did get one bobcat picture so check out our bobcat pictures page soon and take a look.

This weeks pictures were taken with our Bigfoot SLE, Swamp Ghost, Woodland SpyCam, Trail Watcher 4220, EagleEye and StalkerCam.

Ten point buck

Here is a ten point buck that has shown up every once in a while that we hope sticks around. Bigfoot SLE

Crab claw buck

The young eight point buck we call crab claw. Bigfoot SLE

Buck with broken brow tine

We can't figure out if we've seen this buck before, but we'd like for him to stick around. Woodland Spycam

8 point buck

This isn't the greatest picture, but this eight point shows up in a lot of pictures but doesn't like to pose for the cameras. Swamp Ghost

Big nine point buck

The closest picture of the big nine point we've gotten this year. We can't wait to see what this buck looks like next year. Swamp Ghost

Eight pointf buck

Another eight point that we've been watching. He's not huge but he has mass and body size. EagleEye

Big eight point

The biggest eight point buck we've seen. I'm hoping for more mass and width from this buck next year. StalkerCam

Nine point buck

The other nine point that we've been watcing all year. Maybe he'll be a full ten points next year. Trail Watcher 4220
