December 26th Whitetail Deer Photos

The end of the year ends all of the deer seasons here in West Virginia and we're still looking for bucks to show up that we can watch over the coming months. One interesting buck showed up that we had not seen before. This buck may be bigger than any buck we have seen this year. Unfortunately, I have doubts whether we will see this buck again, but we'll keep looking.

We saw our first buck with a shed antler this week, a spike is missing one of his spikes. That one will be hard to find.

We've put a camera back on a scrape and we got some pictures there before a low battery took the camera out. We put it back and will see how long the scrape/licking branch continues to draw bucks.

Cameras at our food plots and some of the other travel routes have not provided much traffic for us so we're concentrating on the feeders, mineral licks and scrapes.

These pictures were taken with our Camtrakker Digital Ranger, Trail Watcher 2060, EagleEye and Trail Watcher 2035.

Nine Point Buck

The nine point buck that we have high hopes for next year.

Eight point whitetail buck

Here is the eight point buck walking past the scrape. He didn't stop to visit on this trip.

Eight point buck

This is a small eight point buck that is new to our pictures. We hope he sticks around, he looks like he could be a promising young buck.

Six point buck

Our high racked six point buck and a small four point buck.

Big buck

This buck showed up on December 21st at 2:33 AM. This is the first time we have seen this buck and we hope to see a lot more of him. He looks like a dandy.

Non-typical eight point buck
