December 3rd Whitetail Deer Pictures

This album of Whitetail Deer Pictures contains digital scouting camera pictures taken the week before December 3, 2005.

This week is the second week of buck season and is an indication of what bucks may survive the season on our property. This is a preliminary look since deer season isn't completely over.

I've shot two of the bucks that we have seen over the fall and there are others that have disappeared as well. I expect some of the the now shows to show up after the season. We had a couple bucks show up last year after the season had ended.

We're going to keep watching over the next month to see what shows up and then it will be antler shedding time again. It's hard to believe we're at this point already. It seems like we were just watching them grow their antlers.

This week we recieved 946 total pictures from five cameras. It's difficult to narrow this list down to six pictures but somebodies got to do it. These cameras were the Woodland SpyCam, Penn's Woods Digital Scout, EagleEye Digital Trail Camera and our new Wildview digital scouting camera.

Nine point whitetail buck

We've been watching this buck for three seasons and his antlers are now in my garage. He was the best buck we were seeing on our property.

Eight point buck

This is the last picture we got of this wide racked eight point buck and it was taken on Saturday of the first week. We're hoping he shows up next week.

We got a few pictures of this little six point. Maybe we'll get to watch him grow up over the next year.

Seven point whitetail buck

This seven point got caught by all three of our camera locations. He is the best buck that we have left and should be a good looking buck next year. It'll be fun to watch him grow up.

Spike Buck

This is one of our spikes. We have several spikes that we have pictures of and have seen over the fall.

Nine point whitetal buck

Since we won't be getting any pictures of this buck next week I thought that I would include him twice. The inside spread between his main beams was only a little over 12 inches while his tines swept outward to over 14 inches. His ears were also shorter than those of the other bucks we've killed the last four years. This probably made his rack look even wider.
