December 4 Whitetail PicturesThe week after the first week of deer season is always an interesting picture week. We always want to see what bucks have survived the first week since we seldom lose a buck after the first week. By the end of the first week I wasn't sure we had much left at all, but these pictures show us that we have six nice bucks left and we got a picture of another eight point that wasn't good enough to make the page. Three of these bucks could be real dandies next year. The only buck that we saw on our trip on the 4th was the big eight point, who ran across the road in front of me late in the evening. We're not getting pictures from as many different locations now. We're concentrating on the feeders now along with a mineral lick and we're still monitoring the apple trees. We didn't get any fox, coyote or bobcat pictures this week, but we did get some more black bear pictures. The bear visited a camera at a mineral lick and walked past a feeder as well. He took one of the inner tubes off of one camera and chewed on it a bit before leaving it in the food plot. I also saw a coyote while I was out, but it ran by so quick I didn't have time to pick up my gun. I also heard coyotes yapping Friday evening. This weeks pictures were taken with our Treebark Cameras 4.1, Trail Watcher 2060, Woodland SpyCam, Trail Watcher 4220 and StalkerCam.
