My Hunting HeritageMy family has been hunting on our West Virginia property for 35 years. The property was purchased to give our family some place to get away from it all and have the opportunity to plant vegetable gardens and enjoy the outdoors. Over the years some family members are no longer with us and we have added some others. Getting my children involved with me in the outdoors is a priority of mine. I think that it is important that they experience it themselves, the way nature actually works. As they grow up others who say that they know what nature is about will be less likely to influence my children with false information. My father and grandfather taught me about the outdoors at an early age and I owe it to my own children to do the same. In this web site I hope to share our experiences with all of you. We have learned a lot of things over the years and want to share them hoping to advance whitetail deer hunting for the enjoyment of future generations. We have tried many things including: food plots, minerals, scouting cameras, feeders, scents, calls, several stands both homemade and manufactured and now we have dabbled in taxidermy as well. Check back from time to time I'll be adding pictures from the food plots, scouting camera and our successful hunts. You won't be seeing Boone and Crockett deer in these pictures but they are all trophies. Deer hunting is a good wholesome activity for families and when following good management practices is very beneficial to the deer herd.

One of my other interests is helping other people out with their finances. I have put together a site called FinanceForFamilies.com that will help families change their lifestyle and stay out of debt.
