July 22nd Whitetail Deer Pictures

This album of Whitetail Deer Pictures contains digital scouting camera pictures taken in the weeks before July 22, 2005. Three weeks had elapsed since our last visit to our hunting property. It was interesting how we were able to see the antler growth in this three week period. There was definitely a difference in antler sizes from the first pictures to the last. Some of the bucks antler tines are starting to get some nice length to them.

We also got a couple pictures of fawns again this time and for the first time we got a couple of pictures that were snapped when the feeder was running. You could see the corn showering down and a deer standing there waiting.

We got more pictures of the buck that we think may have been wounded last year. Last year he was an eight point and so far he only has six points. We don't know if he will get more points, the wound stunted his antler growth or if this is not even the deer that was wounded.

Seven Point Whitetail Buck

This picture was taken on July 3rd. It is a buck that has seven points and may be developing a sticker point off of it's base.

This is the same deer on July 18th. You can see that there has been good antler growth in 15 days. I've read that bucks have all of their points by the end of July and just add length and mass afterward. We'll see if this is true.

10 Point whitetail buck

This buck has developed into a 10 point. Last year he was a nine point and the year before he was a seven point. We'll keep looking for him to see how long and wide he gets.

two whitetail fawns

We are now getting pictures of fawns at the feeders. Their mother seems real curious of the camera and the buck behind them is the ten point from the previous picture.

Turkey gobbler

I liked this close-up picture of a turkey gobbler. He is getting a picture of his good side.

8 point whitetail buck

This is a nice close picture of an eight point buck and you can also see the morning sky starting to get pink through the trees behind him. He should continue to grow into a respectable eight point.
