June 16th Whitetail Deer Photos

After seeing a buck with a lot of promise and width last week we were excited to see our pictures this week expecting to see him again. We weren't completely disapointed but we didn't get very many pictures of him and in only one location. We also didn't get pictures of very many other promising bucks. Fortunately it's early so we have plenty of time to see what shows up and how large their antlers can grow.

It's interesting how we see different animals coming to the feeders at different times of the year. We were seeing a lot of turkeys at the feeders but we're seeing less turkeys now and a lot of raccoons. We're also not seeing a lot of deer at this time as compared to other times of the year.

These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2060, Trail Watcher 2040, Bushnell Trail Scout and Cuddeback Expert.

Three whitetail bucks

We caught three bucks in this picture but they were still outnumbered by the raccoons.

Old seven point buck

We think this buck may be the seven point buck from last year that had a couple small sticker points near his bases.

Young whitetail buck

Here is young buck visiting a mineral lick.

Buck and coons

The coons have this young buck outnumbered, it looks like they may be negotiating.

Wide rack buck

This isn't the greatest picture but it's the only camera we caught this wide racked deer with this week.

Buck eating leaves

Here is another young buck with a mouthfull.
