June 21st Whitetail Deer Photos

The bucks have finally started to get enough antler growth that we can start to tell them apart. We aren't yet able to identify all of them but they're starting to get different antler characteristics and of course some of them are getting bigger than others.

The jury is still out as to how big this years bucks antlers are going to grow. We're keeping our hopes high although we're behind on rainfall this year and our food plots haven't been the boost we were looking for.

We haven't captured a coyote with any of our digital trail cameras since some time last year but I did hear some barking across the hollow when I was gathering our cameras this week. Sooner or later one is going to go past our cameras again and we'll be waiting.

These pictures were taken with our Camtrakker Digital Ranger, Moultrie Gamespy 200, Woodland SpyCam and EagleEye.

Five point buck

Here is a buck that is a five point so far. He's visiting one of our mineral licks.

Six Point Buck

I can't tell which buck this might be. It may be the buck that was a seven point last year or possibly the small nine point, or perhaps a completely different buck.

Eight Point Buck

We think this is the buck that was the wide eight point last year. It already has eight points.

Eight point buck in velvet

This isn't the greatest picture captured on a rainy night, but we found a shed antler from a decent eight point buck just a few yards from this location.

6 point buck

The stickers on the front of this bucks antler bases tells us that he is the same buck as a seven point that had stickers in this same location last year.

Here is another five point in a location close to a mile away from the five point in the first picture. Notice his brow tine is on the other side.
