March 17th Whitetail Deer Photographs
This album of Whitetail Deer Photographs contains digital scouting camera pictures taken the weeks before March 17, 2006. I'm going to stop being surprised to see that our favorite seven point buck still has his antlers. We have a picture of him still wearing them on the 17th. We'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks. We didn't get very many pictures of other animals this time except for a few raccoons and part of a rabbit. Later this spring we'll be putting the scouting cameras at our food plots so it will be interesting to see what we see then. These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam and a Leaf River IR, Cuddeback Trail Camera, and EagleEye Trail Camera.
Here he is again. For the past month I keep thinking we've gotten the last picture of him with his antlers still on, but so far I've been wrong. This time I'll say that we'll get more pictures of him still wearing his seven point antlers.
Here's the seven point on a trail going away from a feeder. The scouting camera was on a ten second delay and the next picture is of him walking back the other way. Apparently he turned around and went back the other way after getting his picture taken the first time. I'd have a hard time calling this buck camera shy.
Here is a nice close picture of two button bucks. We should get to watch them grow up over the coming spring and summer.
This isn't the best picture but I got a kick out of the deer in the background. It looks like the deer is checking out that scouting camera.
I thought this was an interesting picture of a buck taken in the early morning while it was raining/snowing.
Another curious doe. This camera was on a 15 minute delay so I don't have any idea how long she hung around after getting her close-up taken.
