March 30 Deer Photographs

The bucks have now all shed their antlers so we're in that couple of month time when the pictures are a bit boring. This is the time of year that we allow turkeys to share the page with deer, they like showing off this time of the year.

It looks like the bucks are starting to get little bumps on their heads. That's the best we can offer at this time so we have a couple of pictures this week.

His white feet allow us to identify one buck and we got pictures of him while one eye is identifiable when the flash hits both eyes. I think we got pictures of one eye, but I'm not sure.

We should still have the small ten point hanging around but we don't have any way of identifying him yet. We'll have to look for antler characteristics later this summer. Ear tags would be a big help.

We didn't get any bobcat or coyote pictures in this set of pictures. Maybe next time.

This weeks pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher Researcher, Treebark Cameras 4.1 and Trail Watcher 2060.

Whitetail deer picture

Not sure why there is a stick in this deer's mouth. Could it be a large toothpick or possibly a lollipop? Trail Watcher 2060
