May 11th Whitetail Deer Photos

The woods are green again and it sure is a welcome sight. I'll have to admit that this winter seemed like a long hard one and I'm glad to see the green again.

One thing we've noticed the last couple of weeks is how much the deer are visiting the minerals licks. The deer have made one lick that we have in the woods into a large hole this spring. This will be a good spot for our digital trail cameras for a few months now.

Although we first noticed the bucks antlers starting to emerge from above the hair-line about a month ago they haven't grown fast over the last month. Most of the bucks that we've captured pictures of still just have knobs, but there is one that has started to branch off its brow tines.

These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2060, Camtrakker Digital Ranger, Woodland SpyCam and homemade WhitetailCam S40.
