November 27 Whitetail Pictures

These pictures are from the first week of deer season. This is generally a tough week for pictures and this week was no different, maybe even a little worse. The variety of food for the deer to eat has made them tough to hunt and we've had an equally tough time catching them with our cameras.

We have pictures of very few of our bucks and I'm not sure if they've been killed or if they just aren't getting in front of our cameras. Next weeks set of pictures should answer this question.

The big eight point appears to have an injured right eye and right ear. I noticed in the pictures that his right eye does not shine like his left eye. I'd like to see the buck that put a hurting on him.

The most exciting thing this week is that a black bear showed up again in front of our cameras. We caught him at two of our feeders. It has been almost three years since our last black bear pictures. Hopefully they don't destroy our feeders this time. I walked into both feeders in the dark the morning after the bear showed up on two days. He showed up at a feeder about an hour after Ryan left on Friday evening.

We didn't get any fox, coyote or bobcat pictures this week. Hopefully the black bear pictures make up for these.

This weeks pictures were taken with our Treebark Cameras 4.1, Trail Watcher 4220, Woodland SpyCam and Trail Watcher 2040.

Eight point buck with a bad eye

You can see in this picture that this bucks eyes are reflecting light differently. I wonder if he is now blind in his right eye. Treebark Cameras 4.1
