November 29th Deer Pictures

This set of pictures span nine days and include the first week of rifle season here in West Virginia. I use our cameras a lot during deer season to try to see how the increased activity in the woods affects deer movement and I'm also looking for new deer.

We saw a couple of deer this week that we hadn't seen for a couple of weeks and we have also had some deer that we are no longer getting pictures of. Now that this first week is over it will be interesting to see what we still have around.

The odd seven point and the buck with two split brow tines both didn't show up in the pictures and we didn't see either buck. The seven point has been a tough buck to pattern the last three years, so this wasn't a big surprise and the double split buck was probably a wandering buck from a neighboring ridge. Not seeing these bucks was not a big surprise.

We didn't get any coyote or bobcat pictures but I did get the opportunity to listen to some coyotes while sitting in one of our blinds.

These pictures were taken with our StalkerCam, EagleEye, homemade WhitetailCam S40, Camtrakker Digital Ranger and Bigfoot XLE.

Tall racked eight point buck

Sometimes the pictures in the rain turn out interesting. Here is a tall eight point buck that we hadn't seen for a couple of weeks. Camtrakker Digital Ranger

Nine Point Buck

I saw this buck on opening morning but never saw him again although we got pictures of him throughout the week. Somehow he managed to go where I wasn't. EagleEye

Eight point buck in the snow

This is what the weather looked like by Tuesday evening and this young eight point braved the snow for a bite to eat. homemade WhitetailCam S40

Small eight point buck

Another young eight point buck. It looked to me like we may have three young eight point bucks that are hard to tell apart. Bigfoot XLE
