We didn't have a visit from a black bear for the entire 2012 calendar year until December and we didn't get any pictures of him the first time he showed up. He has a tendency to bend the support bars on our feeders when he shows up and it was obvious that he had visited but our cameras had dead batteries and a filled memory card.
On our next visit we again saw the support bars bent and one camera finally caught him.
I wish we had some way of telling exactly how big he is. Since we've never actually seen one we have a hard time telling exactly how big they are when they show up on camera.
It's our estimation that this one is pretty big, but we're guessing.
We had the fence shocker on this feeder so he might have gotten a little jolt if he reached up high enough to touch it.
These aren't the greatest pictures. We had a lot of rain, snow and mud and the camera glass shows it.
Take a look and see how big you think our latest black bear is. If you have trouble finding him, just look for the blue/green eyes.
