At the end of the 2018 deer season we put some cameras out to see what kind of bucks and how many we still had hanging around our property. We were glad to see the biggest buck we'd seen still around, but the overall numbers weren't very high. One reason might be that we had taken two pretty nice bucks in 2017. It's also possible that we didn't get pictures of them all since we didn't have our cameras out very long.
These are both the biggest buck that we'd seen during the season and we sure were glad to see that he survived the season. The biggest buck gets two pictures!
We got pictures of this odd buck, but we never got to actually see him. It's hard to tell if this was a genetic anomaly or if it was injured in velvet. Nothing like him showed up in 2019.
This was a nice wide eight point that looked like he had a lot of promise. Unfortunately we didn't see any bucks that looked like this one in 2019.
A little six point. Not much to say other than we did have a couple of eight point bucks in 2019 that was probably this little guy a little more grown up.
An eight point with a broken tine that made him recognizable. Like the previous buck this one probably showed up in 2019 as an eight point that grew a little.
