August 6th, 2015 Whitetail Photographs

This set of pictures is only a 5 day soak, but we still got a lot of pictures including all of our bucks. The ten point at the old house area showed up at a distance again, but I think the picture is good enough that you can get a look at him. You'll have to take a look at him, he looks like a real nice buck. He could still pick up more tine length in August.

The big eight point from last year also looks real impressive. He's picking up a ninth point and he also looks like he's getting a sticker point on one of his G-2's. The other ten point from last year doesn't look like he's adding much size this year. Hopefully he continues to grow out and up in August. The overbite buck is trying to be a nine point this year and looks like he's added size since last year.

The Sugarbeet Crush drew bucks again, but we didn't see any different bucks at Whippoorwill. We're going to continue to try for a while and see what comes along. We also tried some apple attractant and the deer cleaned it up quickly. Unfortunately the batteries in the camera we put on it were dead.

The cameras at the apple trees and licking branches didn't have a lot of success. They got pictures of bucks, but not big ones or different bucks. We could pull them if we want to look elsewhere.

This week we didn't get any black bear, bobcat or coyote pictures again, we'll keep looking. We did get one feeder back in action so we'll see if the black bear finds it.

This ten point looks like he's having trouble growing more antler than last year.

Here is the ten point from the old house area.

A younger eight point we've been getting pictures of.

This buck has been showing up in a lot of locations. He looks pretty big until you put him alongside the bigger bucks.

This buck has grown into a very nice buck with lots of character.

The overbite buck is a real nice eight point. His ninth point looks like it may just end up as a bump.

Here is a seven point buck that reminds me a lot of the eight point with real small brow tines. It makes me wonder if they are twins.
