December 6th Whitetail Photos

Rifle season is now over and we may have a pretty good idea of the bucks left for next year. A neighbor reported that the big eight point was shot across the hollow last weekend. That's the bad news. The good news is that the rest of our regular bucks are still around.

Our remaining bucks include four eight point bucks and a ten pointer. The ten point buck and one of the eight pointers are the biggest and if they put on a good bit of size for next year they should be real nice bucks next year. The other three probably need a couple more years, but we're always hopeful.

The bucks have left the scrapes so we're monitoring feed sites, mineral licks and we still have one camera on the old road. Another visit from a black bear has limited our feeder sites. He stopped by and destroyed two of our three feeders so we're still watching the protein feeders and we've sprinkled some corn on the ground to get some more pictures.

Make sure you check out our black bear pictures page for nine new bear pictures.

This isn't one of our bigger bucks, but with one bad eye we'll be able to identify this buck as we watch him grow up.

One of our smaller eight point bucks. Hopefully he'll surprise us next year.

We're hoping this buck adds a lot of size next year. He has the potential.

This buck was wounded last year which probably held him back this year, maybe he'll surprise us next year.

This buck has the potential of being a real high racked buck.

This buck has the most potential. In person he was a pretty nice buck this year.
