December 8th Deer Photographs

Rifle season is now over and muzzleloader season is in the books as of this writing as well. The bucks we saw last week are still around but there weren't any new additions to our list of bucks either. We would like to have seen a new big buck or two.

The biggest news this week is the tore up back hip on the six point buck. We're not sure what happened, but there is a large wound in his rear hip. Ryan saw this buck this weekend said that he is favoring his left rear leg. It will be interesting to see how well he heals up if at all.

We may have missed some bucks and we hope that is the case. I forgot to turn one camera on and another had battery problems. Sometimes we're our own worst enemy.

We got one fox picture this week with one of our old infrared cameras that didn't turn out good at all so it didn't make the fox pictures page. We didn't get any coyote or bobcat pictures so check back next week.

This weeks pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2060, Swamp Ghost and Treebark Cameras 4.1.

Our ten point buck. We're glad he's still around and look forward to seeing him next year. Trail Watcher 2060

Now we know why these two bucks have broken antler tines, still sparring in December. Trail Watcher 2060

The smaller of the two combatants, a seven point. Trail Watcher 2060

The big, fighting eight point buck. We hope he can keep from breaking tines next year. Trail Watcher 2060

The small nine point buck along a logging road. Swamp Ghost

The small five point buck along the same logging road. Swamp Ghost

We hope this buck can survive this nasty looking wound. Treebark Cameras 4.1
