February 27,2015 Whitetail Photographs

After three weeks of bad weather we finally got another set of pictures and we showed up to over 6 inches of snow and temperatures in the teens.

Since we know that our last buck lost his antlers in our last set of pictures we know that our pictures get a little less interesting if your looking for antlered bucks. This time of the year we see bucks without their antlers and usually some neat pictures of the deer in the snow.

6 to 8 inches of snow isn't the best for looking for shed antlers so we obviously didn't find any sheds this week. So far this year we've only found two sheds. I don't know how many we find each year, but I'm sure this is a down year for us. Maybe over the next few weeks we can get some better weather and have time to look around. The only problem is that if the weather gets much better it will be food plot time. We have a lot of work to do.

Once again this week we didn't get any bobcat, coyote or black bear pictures. Maybe we should start looking for them in some of their regular haunts.

Here is one of our bucks on his way to some protein feed.

Another buck in the same spot, this time leaving the feed.

A redbird on a really bad day.

Here's a buck that came for a snack in the snow.

Another buck in the late evening snow.

You wouldn't think this deer would have even been out in this sideways blowing snow.
