I HAD ALREADY FILLED MY FREEZER WITH DOES. IT WAS THE LAST OF GUN SEASON AND I HAD NO REAL EXPECTATIONS OF GETTING A BIG BOY THIS LATE IN THE SEASON. I WAS IN A 12FT. 2MAN STAND WITH MY GUN RESTING ON THE RAIL AND MY FEET PROPPED UP ON THE SIDE OF THE STAND (I AM NOT SURE BUT I MAY HAVE BEEN SNORING JUST A BIT) TO MY SURPRIZE I SAW SOME MOVEMENT ABOUT 200 YDS DOWN A DITCH LINE. LOOKS LIKE A NICE DEER I THOUGHT. SO I PICKED UP MY REMINGTON 870 AND LOOKED THRU THE SCOPE AND INSTANTLY STARTED SHAKING LIKE A DOG PASSING A PEACH SEED. I WATCHED THIS BIG BOY WALK SLOWLY TO WITHIN 40YRDS. NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT WAS HIS LAST STEP.
