January 2, 2015 Whitetail Photographs
We've made it to 2015 and all of the deer seasons are over so the bucks we see now are the bucks we'll be watching again next year. I'm looking forward to the coming year. Hopefully the acorn crop this fall and a lot of green this spring will grow even larger antlers on these bucks.
Our biggest victory this week is that the nine point showed up again. He had stayed away from our feeders and protein feed all fall, but finally showed up at both of them this time and on more than one occasion. We hope he becomes a regular and follow us as we try to move our feed location to a better spot.
The eight point with the broken G-2 didn't show up again this week. We put out some attractant and a camera at the spot we saw him a bunch earlier in the fall. He even took a nap in front of that camera so we hope he's still around and takes a break there again.
This is the best we've come out of a deer season with respect to bucks left that we had watched all fall. The only buck that we aren't seeing that we saw all fall is a small eight point. It looks like he wandered off and got himself shot.
Once again this week we didn't get any bobcat, coyote or black bear pictures.
Our biggest eight point buck. We expect him to be huge next year.
This ten point was an eight point with little brow tine last year. Next year we're looking for longer thicker tines.
The overbite buck. He didn't grow as much this year as we thought he would, maybe next year.
Here's the nine point buck we've been looking for. He's not wide, but he has height.
This ten point is bigger than last year, but not a lot. We hope better food this year will help him grow bigger.
One of our young bucks, a small six point.
