July 18th Whitetail Photographs

Two weeks after our last set of pictures and we can tell the bucks apart now. We think we still have the biggest bucks from last year back. The jury is still out on how much bigger they will grow this year.

It looks like the ten point from last year will be the biggest buck, but the big eight point and a ten point at the old house could give him a run for his money. Do you think we could get them to pose side by side for a photo.

Generally the bucks have all of their points by the end of July and we're just a couple of weeks away. We'll know soon exactly what we have this year.

The third feeder didn't work out well. It was a repair from the bear visits and it didn't hold up long. We'll have to order another feeder and try again.

We got five coyote pictures this time, all on the same night. One of them is a pretty good picture so make sure you take a look at the coyote pictures page.

The overbite buck. He's going to be real tall if his antler tines keep growing.

This camera, at a mineral lick, has been a gold mine for fawn pictures.

This buck is in the running for biggest antlers after just being a small brow tined eight point last year.

This buck is a small one that we know won't be a trophy this year. He'll need a couple more years.

We're pretty sure this is the eight point that broke both brow tines last year. He should keep getting tine length if he grows like he did last year.

This picture was taken on July 8th, which is early in the month leaving a lot of time to grow. He looks a lot bigger in later pictures, but they weren't as good as this one taken earlier.
