This is the first set of pictures since the storm that hit in June 29th and you can see the aftermath in these pictures. It doesn't take long for nature to change the landscape.
Some of our bucks are starting to look pretty nice. The white foot buck is looking good and now has eight full points and a lot of width. We captured pictures of a nice ten point this week that I'm not sure we had seen before near the old house. One eye, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be growing much larger than the past two years, maybe he'll come on stronger the rest of this month.
The fence shocker we put on one of our feeders has been a success so far and I think this will increase deer visits to the feeder. It seems to me that at this time of the year the raccoons hit the feeders hard and the deer then stay away.
We are definitely starting to tell the bucks apart which is an exciting time for us. We're still looking for the buck that we called the small ten point last year.
We didn't get any coyote or bobcat pictures again this week, stay tuned next week to see if we can find them.
A nice fawn picture. You can see the storm damage in the background. Penns Woods DS-07
