Kentucky 8 Point

This was actually my 15 year old son's Kentucky Youth weekend hunt(Oct. 2010), but my most memorable by far. Cameron was able to harvest a nice 8 point Kentucky Whitetail as his first deer with his Remington 30-06. I was so proud of him from start to finish. From the research provided by pursuit channel, magazines, internet, etc..., to tracking his Buck after the shot. He has improved so much since a few years back when he started hunting. He refused to take a shot at first due to a small tree limb obstructing his view & the possibility of just wounding the animal rather than making a definite kill. This hunt was the most memorable ever for me having the honor to take my son hunting & passing on any knowledge that may be helpful to him. I will never forget him patiently taking the shot, the detailed explanations after the shot, tracking the deer & the smile on his face as he found HIS TROPHY! These are memories that can never be replaced. A special Thanks goes out to all that contributes to providing whitetail knowledge, please keep up the good work.
