March 21st Whitetail Photographs

The pictures are still a little boring, but the bucks are showing up and their antlers are hiding behind bumps that we hope will soon start to jump up. Thankfully our cameras did well over this last week and we have some good pictures to show you.

We didn't go shed hunting, but we did make a trip into the woods to get a tree stand that we had forgotten to retrieve earlier. As we were walking to the stand Ryan found a shed from last year that belonged to the ten point he shot this year. You just never know when you might stumble upon a shed.

The deer are still loving the protein feed so we're monitoring them with only a couple of cameras at the minerals. Soon, the deer will leave the feed and start using the mineral licks and we'll move our cameras to keep up with them.

Nothing has started to green up yet so the deer are coming to the corn and protein feed with regularity. We're ready for spring green up and the deer could use it too.

This week we caught two coyotes with three cameras. We hear them, we just don't always get pictures.

Peek-A-Boo

Here is a buck that looks like one of our older ones.

Two bucks fighting over the pecking order already.

A buck walking past one of our mineral licks that gets visits because it holds water for the deer to drink.

It looks like our buddy overbite is visiting a feeder a good distance from his regular haunts from the fall.

This looks like one of our younger bucks.
