May 8, 2015 Whitetail Photographs

The bucks are all starting antler growth, it's just not real fast at this point. We know from prior years that antler growth starts slow and then picks up in June and July.

There are one or two bucks that have started to branch off their brow tines. They're still a little hard to identify.

The camera at the end of the hayfield didn't do much for deer pictures this time, but we did get three good bobcat pictures. This will probably keep this camera at this spot a while longer.

The camera along the road at a licking branch provided some real good pictures. We knew that deer continued to use licking branches throughout the year and these pictures showed us this was right.

This week we got some nice bobcat pictures and one coyote picture too. The black bear didn't show up this week.

Another buck at the same licking branch starting to branch his brow tines.

A buck walking past a camera watching a mineral lick.

Another buck at the same mineral lick.

A buck at another mineral lick below the hayfield.

A buck and a raccoon at a protein feed spot.
