I was walking to the stand with my Parker Buckshot loaded with Redhead Carbon Express Arrows and a 100 Grain Muzzy MX - 3 Broadhead. I walked around a corner and scared two does and a 3x2. I finally got to my treestand and started the climb up the 15 foot Ameristep Grizzly. I set my bow and backpack on the hooks and me and my dad settled in the stand. We waited and waited and waited. Finally something exciting happened. A squirrel fell out of a 100 foot tall oak tree. It landed with a big thump. Then with about 45 minutes left of daylight my dad spotted the does and 3x2 I had spooked earlier coming down the trail. I waited for them to get to about forty yards and I drew back my bow. I waited for them to get a tad closer, and then the 3x2 got spooked. So I just let the arrow fly right into the big doe`s lung. PERFECT SHOT!! She fell right down and died. I later discovered the hard way that it was a button buck.
