November 28th Whitetail Photographs

This was the first week of rifle season, which is usually a tough week for buck pictures. This year was different. Ryan was sick and didn't hunt all week, I was recovering from the same illness Ryan got and our brother-in-law had to work two days. So, all of that meant that we pressured our deer very little this week and we got pictures of all of our regular bucks even as late as Friday.

The new big eight point just showed up on Monday and this picture and last weeks pictures revealed that he broke off one of his G-2's. We'd like to know which buck he tangled with.

The nine point showed up again in the same place and avoided all of our cameras except the one on the point. We don't know where he's coming from or going to, although we'd like to know.

We didn't do any scouting with our cameras during this week. We didn't want to travel to the out of the way places and bother the deer.

We got one bobcat picture walking past one of our feeders. Make sure you check out the bobcat pictures page.

Here's the eight point that broke off his G-2. We didn't get any pictures of him after Monday.

Our young eight point continued to show up throughout the week. He's a regular, but I didn't get to see him.

I did get to see this big ten point one evening. He ate a little and then harassed some does.

Here's the other ten point. He was still showing up late in the week as well.

The overbite eight point buck showed up just about everywhere, even in the yard on Friday evening. Thankfully he didn't wander far enough to get killed. I got to take a look at him one evening at the old house.

We can't figure this nine point out. This is the only spot we get his picture, which isn't far from protein feed and a corn feeder.

The big eight stuck around this area most of the week. Take a look at the snow on his antler.
