November 30th Deer Photographs

The second week of rifle season is always a key week when we see what has survived the heavily hunted first week. This week we're thin on bucks, which we expected. We still have a big ten point and the eight point with broken tines, but little else after these two.

We looked back at the pictures from last year and found that the ten point is a buck that we saw a couple of times last year. Interestingly he doesn't appear to have grown much if at all. The eight point, on the other hand, was a seven point last year and he is bigger this year. We attribute this to the dry weather this summer which hurt our food plots and most other green vegetation as well.

Our new one eye buck looks like he's healing. I saw him on Saturday and he looked good, both eyes open.

We may have missed some bucks and we hope that is the case. I forgot to turn one camera on and another had battery problems. Sometimes we're our own worst enemy.

We didn't get any bobcat, coyote or fox pictures this week so check back next week.

This weeks pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2060, Swamp Ghost and Swamp Ghost.

Yep this is just a spike, but he sure is a nice spike. Trail Watcher 2060

We found out this buck was around some last year and he didn't grow much this year. Trail Watcher 2060

A seven point with some potential for next year. Trail Watcher 2060

Our favorite five point buck. This is the buck with an overbite. Penns Woods DS-07

This young six point has some potential too. Swamp Ghost
