The does must be accepting bucks now. Both our cameras and our few hours in a blind this week showed the same results. At this time of the year it can seem like bucks just disappear. During our sits we only saw one buck and he was on the hunt. Our cameras got buck pictures, but not like a couple of weeks ago. We captured four pictures of eight point or better bucks and some smaller bucks.
Two eight points, the big nine and one ten point showed up. We didn't see several other bucks. They could still be right under our noses and we just don't see them at this time of the year.
Once again, no black bear or coyote pictures although I did hear the coyotes one evening. They're still there.
One of the two eight point bucks that showed up. I'd like to get a look at this buck. I think he has a lot of promise.
Surely this buck will be a dandy ten point buck next year if he survives.
One of our young bucks, a five point.
If this is a one and a half year old he's a lot better than a spike.
The big nine point buck and a doe.
Another six point buck. A promising young buck or a disappointing older buck?
A ten point buck at a licking branch. This buck was a regular last year and he's been very easy to see again this year.
