October 12th, 2015 Whitetail Photographs

We still haven't spent much time on stand yet this year. Ryan got a little time in a tree, but I think he spent most of it asleep. I haven't been out yet, but I do have two stands up and we put one blind out to let the deer get used to it. Maybe I'll try out one of my spots on my next visit.

We had a tough camera week. One camera wanted turned off and back on before it would start, which it had never done before, so it didn't take any pictures. Another camera's nine volt battery died late in the week limiting those pictures. And two other cameras just had some difficulties that we hope we've cured this week.

Even with our camera problems we still got pictures of our biggest bucks. Now that the season is in, it's always good to see our biggest bucks each week.

The scrapes that appeared last week didn't provide much action this week except for the one along the old road so it's the only one we're watching this week.

The deer are hitting our fall annuals pretty heavy. We planted about two acres and could have used a couple more.

No black bear again this week and the coyotes and bobcats didn't show up either. Check back next week.

Here's our buck in need of dental work.

This ten point buck's neck is starting to get big. I have pictures of this buck last year with a pretty good size neck.

Here's the other ten point. We think he's our oldest buck.

Here's the small buck without brow tines waiting for one of our bigger bucks to finish so he can get a bite.

The crab claw buck. We didn't see him as much this week.

Our big nine point along the new right of way.
