September 26th Whitetail Photographs

Saturday was the first day of bow season. It's hard to believe that it's upon us already. Ryan got a chance to sit at the old house in the morning and got a look at overbite and the wide ten point. The weather was too warm to think about shooting anything, but it's good to get to see them with your own eyes.

Again this week the majority of the buck activity was at the old house. After a couple of years where we didn't see much buck activity at this location they're finally back.

We got pictures of our bucks sparring a good bit this week. They're figuring out the pecking order and trying our their new headgear. These bucks were all around last year so I figure a lot of the pecking order was already known.

We placed our cameras around food this week and it paid off, but we're soon going to be monitoring scrapes. That's when it gets fun.

This was coyote week. We caught them in two different places. Make sure you take a look at the coyote picture page.

The overbite buck. Sure would like to know what happened to his jaw.

The younger ten point in the same location. This will be a nice buck next year.

One of our two small eight point bucks. We didn't see the other one this week.

The wide ten point. We think he is our oldest buck.

Our big eight point buck. He has the biggest antlers, but he's not the dominant buck on our place.

The little six point. He needs a few years and a lot of good food.

The wide ten and the big eight together. The ten point is the only buck in the pictures that followed.
