September 6th Whitetail Photographs

A short four day week gave us another set of pictures where one of our biggest bucks didn't show up. This time it was the ten point that hangs out at the old house area. We got pictures of the other bigger bucks, but not a lot of two of them.

The black bear didn't show up this week so we didn't get to see his reaction to our new high flying feeder. Maybe this week. We added a second feeder in a similar manner so we'll see if he finds this one.

After seeing three bucks with shed velvet I thought we would see more of our bucks with hard antler, but we only had one. That being said, I would expect that most of them would be shed by the end of this week.

We've given up on the apple trees concentrating on the feeders, feed and mineral licks along with one in the hayfield. Soon I expect we'll be able to start monitoring licking branches and scrapes. This is when it gets fun.

After several weeks of black bear, coyote or bobcat pictures we finally came up blank this week. Our hopes are still high for this week.

The overbite buck on a rainy day.

We didn't get many pictures of this ten point this week.

Here is the only buck that shed his velvet, the massive six pointer.

We got a lot of pictures of the big eight point buck this week. He seemed mesmerized by the sky high feeder.

The other small eight point in the same location at night.
